Greenville's development review process is predictable, timely, and responsive to your needs. No impact fees.
The Site Plan Review team meets every week to expedite all necessary approvals from Engineering, Planning and Zoning, the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and other departments/agencies.
The Building Plan Review team delivers fast, reliable service.
Development review tasks typically are completed as quickly as:
- Standard site plans reviewed within five working days
(approximately 2 - 4 weeks to complete final approvals);
- Building plans are reviewed within five (5) working days; permits issued on the same day as approval is granted;
- Inspections completed within 48 hours or less.
The Inspections Division issues partial Certificates of Occupancy throughout the project development, assuming that the safety of the employees is not compromised.
If you're planning a project in Greenville, please contact the Office of Economic Development. We will serve as your ombudsmen throughout the development process.
